Climbing Categories for 2025

LBBS youth age categories for the 2025-2026 season are:

• U9 | 2017 & later

• U11 | 2015-2016

• U13 | 2013-2014

• U15 | 2011-2012

• U17 | 2009-2010

• U19 | 2007-2008

Adult Open is for anyone, but only scores in your registered category count toward you LBBS cup attempt. If you would like to try your hand at an open category for fun or prizes, you can either register twice and climb for each, or pick a comp where you don’t need the score for you LBBS cup run (4 comps count toward your LBBS total).

The Master’s Category is age 35+ (e.g. born before 1991).

*New: Beginner and intermediate categories for each comp. Scores from these new adult open categories automatically populate to the overall places, because there can only be one Last Best Boulderer.
